GUANTANAMO BAY, the oldest US base overseas, is an American detainment facility located in Cuba. For the U.S. military operations in the Caribbean Theater, it serves as the cornerstone. It provides support to both U.S. Navy, Coast Guard vessels and aircraft, to be the assets of the assigned Joint Task Force-Guantanamo.
